2. What aspects should be paid attention to when installing HDPE pipes?
(1) If the HDPE pipe is installed in an outdoor open-air environment, appropriate shielding measures should be taken in the area that will be irradiated by the sun, so as to avoid the deformation, discoloration, cracking, and other problems of the HDPE pipe due to prolonged exposure to the sun. This leads to a decrease in the service life and performance of the HDPE pipe.
(2) If the HDPE pipe is buried underground as a water supply pipe in summer when the specification of the HDPE pipe is less than 110, a slightly serpentine method should be adopted for laying. When the size of the HDPE pipe is greater than 110, it is not necessary to pre-embed the pipe length in winter.
(3) If the HDPE pipe is installed in a relatively small space, the electrofusion interface should be used for the connection. If the connection is made by a hot melt butt, the working voltage should be kept between 200 volts and 220 volts.
(4) If the working voltage is too high, it will cause the position of the heating plate to be too high, which will affect the normal use of the HDPE pipe, but the working voltage should not be too low, otherwise it will easily lead to the failure of the docking machine to operate normally.
(5) During the docking process, it is necessary to keep the interface position aligned. If not, it will lead to an insufficient docking area of the HDPE pipe or the compressive strength of the welded joint. In addition, the hot-melt time should be strictly controlled. If the time is too short, the pipeline will affect the insufficient heat absorption and cause the problem that the welding seam is too small.
